Drunk people suck to be around when you are sober. Being stuck around them for hours is awful, especially when you are surrounded by an incredibly loud and boring spectacle (races like this are interesting for an hour, maybe two in person and for the rest of the time you wish you could get all the cool video angles and commentary from the broadcast).

I agree that attending a raging drunk-fest as a sober person that is also working would be quite miserable. Especially while stretching & reaching that far to fit the narrative of “EVERYTHING IS RACIST!!! I’M SO OFFENDED!!! LOL WYPIPO!!!”

The article reads like it was written before the event took place - They just had to go find the pictures to fit what they were looking for. Ironically, I think the writer could have enjoyed themselves had they put aside their pre-conceived notions prior to attending & just tried to have a good time.

I would like to see the writer switch to video next time, and cover a deep south mud bog. It would come across as more genuine.
